Step 1: Get your work area clear of distractions. This includes your desktop or table (piles of paper containing tasks, bills, lists, etc.) and your computer desktop (close extra programs you are not using, close extra tabs in your browser like social media!).
Step 2: Set a timer for 25 minutes and get to work.
Step 3: After the 25 minute timer, take a break---absolutely avoid screens! You can take a walk, stretch out, grab a beverage, play a musical instrument, do an exercise, etc.
Step 4: Reset timer for 25 minutes and repeat 3 more times. This will group four 25 minute work sections with breaks into a 2 hour block.
