Hungry
Ever been "Hangry"? It's become somewhat of a joke in popular culture, but it is true. Hunger can strongly effect our mood. It's also not just a physical need, but an emotional one too. We may also be hungering for affection, accomplishment, and understanding. Take a
moment to feed your hunger with healthy foods and interactions.
Angry
When we are feeling anger, we are not likely to make good decisions on how we interact with our surroundings. We may not even be feeling angry about the situation at hand, but from a previous occurrence. Take a moment to find what is angering you. Go for a walk to cool down. Stress, disagreements, or just difficult
circumstances out of your control could be the cause. Take steps to try to diffuse it or accept it. Anger can be a strong emotion and you should never be afraid to seek help if you feel like it is out of control.
Lonely
Social interactions with friends, family, and loved ones are a vital part of our overall well-being. We should not neglect this human need. Reach out to the ones close to you
and talk about how you've missed them. If you have anxiety about being around people or even just leaving your house, do not hesitate to seek help.
Tired
Rest is one of the most important things that we give to our body. Just because we are resting, doesn't mean we're being lazy or unproductive. Sleep deprivation can lead to many unwanted results including depression and anxiety. Make sure you
are giving yourself plenty of rest at night. If you can't, prioritize a nap or even meditation. A 20-minute meditation can award your body with the equivalence of 2 hours of sleep!
